Press & PR

Send us something worth covering.

Good Hours accepts selected press releases, announcements and media materials for independent editorial consideration across Living, Beauty, Travel, Wellbeing, Music and Culture.

We are interested in stories with a clear reason to exist now: a meaningful release, opening, launch, collaboration, event, project or development that fits the way Good Hours covers everyday life and culture.

What we consider

Good Hours does not publish press releases simply because they have been submitted. Every story is considered for relevance, timing, originality and editorial value.

01 / LIVING

Homes & everyday spaces

Thoughtful design launches, interiors, independent makers, materials, objects and ideas that change how people experience home.

02 / BEAUTY

Beauty & personal rituals

Relevant product launches, independent brands, creative collaborations and developments with a genuine editorial angle.

03 / TRAVEL

Places & ways of travelling

Openings, destinations, hospitality projects, cultural initiatives and travel stories that offer more than generic promotion.

04 / WELLBEING

Daily wellbeing

Projects, services and initiatives with a clear everyday-life relevance and responsible, supportable claims.

05 / MUSIC

Artists & releases

Singles, albums, videos, tours, performances, collaborations and meaningful artist news from established and independent musicians.

06 / CULTURE

Culture & creative life

Books, film, exhibitions, events, creative projects and cultural stories that fit the broader Good Hours sensibility.

What makes a strong submission

  • A clear news angle. Tell us what has happened and why it matters now.
  • Complete information. Include names, dates, locations, relevant credits and enough context to understand the story.
  • Publication-ready images. Provide high-resolution, rights-cleared photography suitable for editorial use.
  • Official links. Include the most useful website, streaming, ticketing, social or source links.
  • A real contact. Provide a working professional email address for the artist, agency, publicist, brand or organization responsible for the submission.

What we usually pass on

  • Mass-distributed releases with no clear relevance to Good Hours
  • SEO content or backlink-placement requests
  • Generic company announcements
  • Product copy with no editorial angle
  • Unverifiable health or medical claims
  • Duplicate submissions and repeated follow-ups
  • Material that requires extensive rewriting before it can be assessed

Before you submit

Please send the complete release rather than asking whether we are interested first. A finished submission gives us enough information to make an editorial decision.

Submission does not guarantee coverage, and Good Hours does not charge an editorial submission fee.

We may edit accepted material for clarity, structure, accuracy, formatting, headline style and consistency with Good Hours.

What happens next

01 / SUBMIT

Send the release

Provide the complete story, images, source information and relevant links in one submission.

02 / REVIEW

Editorial assessment

We consider the story’s relevance, quality, timing, accuracy and fit with Good Hours.

03 / PUBLISH

Selected coverage

Accepted stories may become news items, edited features, interviews or other coverage depending on the material.

Interviews & expanded features

Some submissions lead to more than a news item. Good Hours may invite selected musicians, makers, founders, designers, writers or other creative voices to participate in an email Q&A or expanded editorial feature.

Interview invitations are made editorially. They cannot be requested as guaranteed coverage.

Press FAQ

Is there a fee to submit?

No. Standard press and PR submissions are considered for editorial coverage without a submission fee.

Does submitting guarantee publication?

No. Every submission is considered independently, and Good Hours retains full editorial discretion over whether, when and how a story is covered.

How quickly will I hear back?

We do not promise a fixed review window. Time-sensitive releases should include the relevant release date or embargo clearly in the submission.

Can I submit an embargoed release?

Yes. Clearly provide the embargo date, time and timezone with the submission.

Can I follow up?

A single useful follow-up is fine when there is genuinely new information or a significant deadline. Repeated status requests do not improve the likelihood of coverage.

Can I request corrections after publication?

Yes. Factual corrections are welcome. Requests intended to change independent editorial judgment, promotional emphasis or headline treatment may be declined.

Do you offer paid or guaranteed coverage?

Editorial consideration is independent and cannot be purchased. Any future advertising or commercial partnership opportunities will be clearly separated from editorial coverage.

Good Hours retains complete editorial discretion over acceptance, editing, publication timing, presentation and headline treatment.
